Juicing…

Posted by foreualways on October 22, 2010

Hello –

Recently I had a Jack Lalanne Juicer given to me. Yeah it was missing a few items but luckily I am able to order the missing items from their website. I’ve also found some juicing sites ( Healing Daily, Harvest Essentials, and Juice For Health ) now if you have some recipes that you want to share and or websites for juicing and the such. Well by all means I’m eager to check them out!

Apparently Carrot Juice is a powerful juice, but I rather not like the taste. So what would you all suggest I try to add to it to make it taste better? I am thinking apples or strawberries as mentioned in the last link above.

As taken rom Wikipedia.com….

Nutrition

The carrot gets its characteristic and bright orange colour from β-carotene, which is metabolised into vitamin A in humans when bile salts are present in the intestines.[3] Massive overconsumption of carrots can cause carotenosis, a benign condition in which the skin turns orange. Carrots are also rich in dietary fibre, antioxidants, and minerals.Lack of Vitamin A can cause poor vision, including night vision, and vision can be restored by adding Vitamin A back into the diet. An urban legend says eating large amounts of carrots will allow one to see in the dark. The legend developed from stories of British gunners in World War II who were able to shoot down German planes in the darkness of night. The legend arose during the Battle of Britain when the RAF circulated a story about their pilots’ carrot consumption as an attempt to cover up the discovery and effective use of radar technologies in engaging enemy planes, as well as the use of red light (which does not destroy night vision) in aircraft instruments.[4][5] It reinforced existing German folklore and helped to encourage Britons—looking to improve their night vision during the blackouts—to grow and eat the vegetable.Ethnomedically, the roots are used to treat digestive problems, intestinal parasites, and tonsillitis or constipation. While I find this all that interesting I wonder if the so stated urban legend holds and truth, yet I’m not one to try it out!
What do you all feel about that?
Well Good Night and Happy Juicing To Any Fellow Juicers…

Soo Many Things To Talk About….

Posted by foreualways on October 11, 2010

I haven’t a clue as to where to start. Every time I get a thought in my empty balloon shaped object, it attaches itself to some helium and floats away! At onetime I wanted to blog in the form of tutorials for editing photographs, then another about myself and what was happening in my life. Then yet another time it was about amusing things that I’ve notice and yet I thought about blogging about the stuff that pissed me off, annoyed me or was just a plain rip-off!

So I gather that those of you who do stop by from time to time, would probably say blog about what you feel. Well on that note I case I will blog about a mixture of the above topics for the most part.

So I hope to have some what of a blog put together for my first official post (as I would call it.) Yes I have posted stuff before and if you were to go back through some of it you may find some stuff interesting, funny, sad and / or boring….

There are a few people I find interesting enough to follow on a daily basis….

(Clicking the links of their names will take you to their Live Space profiles)

  • Jeff MyUniqueLife  – Now Jeff has a interesting point of view and also a interesting reason as to why he blogs. I find it true, amusing and insightful at times. I also love the graphics that he includes in his post.
  • Raven – Raven is another interesting person to follow, although I don’t always get the meanings in the replies from her admirers. They are amusing. She is by no means a dull character.
  • Jeffrey Flynt – I just started following Jeff post and he has a lot of useful information on his WordPress Blog.

Well Until Next Time…

Thanks for stopping by.

What To Do….

Posted by foreualways on October 6, 2010

I haven’t decided what I am doing yet, as to whether or not I am moving to WordPress or Blogger or elsewhere! There are blogging apps on Facebook, but none of them are as good as Windows Live Writer or anywhere as good as these other desktop blogging software.

Hell I was just having the hardest time deciding on what font to use for this blog entry…..

Beside WordPress, Blogger, Facebook and so many other choices, what have you looking into lately for your new home in place of ye old Windows Live Space???

Well I guess this all for today and Thanks for stopping by.

The Merge / Migration / Upgrade – Tool / Features

Posted by foreualways on October 1, 2010

Are you kidding me!

I’ve looked at a few of the people that have made the move to WordPress and I see mistakes like I knew I would!

One of them is my friend Ravenwood in her blog post From my perspective, in the second paragraph you can see the  <br  code at the end.

Then in this other post, well actually it in the comments to her post – She finds a place to begin. There a link that not active such as in this screen shot…..

Then there the active links that overlap, rather don’t really fit in the given area…..

So what have you found in your investigations of this upgrade to WordPress???

Thanks for visiting
